DENIM CARE GUIDE

At LOVEGEN, we believe great denim only gets better with time.

But to keep your jeans looking iconic and lasting longer (without trashing the planet), here’s how to give them the love they deserve.

Wear More Wash Less

WEAR MORE, WASH LESS

Denim doesn’t need frequent washing. Washing less not only helps maintain the fabric’s structure and color, but also conserves water and energy. Unless heavily soiled, a simple spot clean or airing out between wears is often enough.

Use Cold Water

USE COLD WATER

When it’s time to wash, always turn your jeans inside out and use cold water on a gentle cycle. This helps prevent fading and shrinkage while preserving the integrity of the denim. Mild, eco-friendly detergents are best, avoid bleach or harsh chemicals.

Air Dry

AIR DRY, ALWAYS

Avoid machine drying, which can cause denim to shrink and lose shape. Instead, air dry your jeans by laying them flat or hanging them in a shaded area. This helps retain their original fit while saving energy.

Repair Don't Replace

REPAIR, DON’T REPLACE

Small tears, fraying hems, or random rips? These can often be repaired, giving your jeans a longer life and reducing unnecessary waste. Whether it’s a tailor’s touch or a creative DIY, keeping your denim in circulation matters.
